Sutter Buttes Monitoring Station

There are two monitoring sites in the Feather River Air Quality Management District.  Both of the sites are run by the California Air Resources Board.  One site is located on Almond Street in Yuba City and is indicative of air quality levels in the Yuba City-Marysville area.  The second monitoring site is located on top of the South Butte in the Sutter Buttes mountain range, approximately 2,000 feet above the valley floor.  This site is a special purpose monitoring site, designed to record transport ozone from populated areas into the Northern Sacramento Valley.
