*The District has been redesignated from Nonattainment to Nonattainment Transitional for the State designation for ozone occurs by operation of law. The change was confirmed by the CARB Board of Directors on March 25, 2010 (HSC Section 40925.5).
The District has been redesignated to attainment for the annual PM2.5 State AAQS. The change was adopted on the March 25, 2010, by the CARB Board of Directors. For more information please see here**.
***The District has been redesignated to attainment for the 2006 24-hour PM2.5 NAAQS effective January 8, 2015 (79 FR 72981).
****The Sutter Buttes has been designated attainment for the 2008 8-hour Ozone NAAQS. Monitoring data showed that the area met the 1997 8-hour Ozone NAAQS.
