Combined Solicitation for the Blue Sky Program, Community Air Protection Incentives, and Climate Heat Impact Response Program

 August 21, 2026

The Feather River Air Quality Management District is requesting proposals for the following grant programs that will improve air quality conditions in Yuba and Sutter County: Blue Sky AB 2766 funds, Blue Sky AB 923 funds, Climate Heat Impact Response Program (CHIRP), and Year 8 of the Community Air Protection Incentives Program (CAP Incentives).

District staff are available to assist interested applicants on available programs and how to apply.  A public workshop will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, September 22, 2026. The public workshop includes a hybrid option and attendees will be able to participate via Zoom. The meeting and presentation slides will be recorded and posted to the website. Information on the hybrid public workshop will be posted to this website.

 Grant Examples of Eligible Projects Available Funding
Blue Sky AB 2766 Projects and programs reduce emissions from motor vehicles or reduce vehicle miles traveled $110,000
Blue Sky AB 923 Diesel school bus replacement and electric school bus fleet expansion $400,000
CAP Incentives Zero emission infrastructure, equipment replacement projects, and projects that reduce air pollution in schools $770,000
CHIRP Stationary diesel engine replacement $133,000

Workshop Info

The District will hold a public workshop on the Programs at 10:00 AM on September 22, 2026, at the District office located at 541 Washington Avenue Yuba City, CA 95991.  The workshop recording and slides will be available after the presentation has been completed.
