Jim Whiteakre - Sutter County Supervisor

Jim Whiteakre has been a life-long resident of Sutter County, where he is raising his three children.

Jim graduated from Yuba City High School in 1983. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education with a minor in History from Chico State University. He is a teacher and a former varsity basketball coach at Yuba City High School.

Jim is involved in his community, serving as a member of the following community organizations: Member and Past President of Early Riser Kiwanis, President of Sutter Co. Lincoln Club, Chairman of Sutter Co. Children and Families Commission, Chairman of the Friends Foundation for YC Parks and Rec, Member of the Alliance for Hispanic Advancement, Christian Business Alliance, Y-S Chamber of Commerce, Sutter-Yuba Board of Realtors, National Rifle Association, Knights of Columbus, Punjabi-American Club Advisor at YCHS, as well as numerous committees for the Board of Supervisors.

Jim enjoys spending time with his family. He is an avid hunter, fisherman, and sports enthusiast.
