National 8-hour Ozone ambient air quality standard (AAQS) State Implementation Plan:

NEW!!! The District has proposed a revision to the 2009 Sacramento Regional 8-hour Ozone Attainment and Reasonable Further Program Plan.  The revision would remove control measure IS-1, Construction Mitigation, and delay adoption/implementation of Architectural Coatings control measure from 2012 to 2014.

National 24-hour PM2.5  State Implementation Plan:

The US EPA Administrator signed the final designations in Oct 2009.  The designations became effective Dec 14, 2009.  For information on the 2006 PM2.5 designations, please click here.

The Attainment Plans are due Dec 2012.

California Ozone AAQS Attainment Plan:

The Northern Sacramento Valley Planning Area 2009 Triennial Air Quality Attainment Plan (2009 Plan) is now available for public comment.  The District shall hold a public hearing for the 2009 Plan on June 7, 2010.  For more information, please contact Sondra Andersson Spaethe at (530) 634-7659 ext 210 or sspaethe@fraqmd.org.

SB 656 (California PM10 Reduction Plan)

Senate Bill 656 (SB 656, Sher) was approved by Governor Gray Davis on October 8, 2003.  SB 656 required the California Air Resources Board (ARB), in consultation with local air districts, to identify, develop and adopt at a public meeting a list of the most readily available, feasible, and cost-effective control measures.  These measures are based on rules, regulations, and programs existing as of January 1, 2004, that could be employed by ARB and the air districts to reduce PM10 and PM2.5 (collectively referred to as PM), from new and existing stationary, mobile, and area sources.
